Mindful Longevity Planning Workshop

Mindful Longevity Planning: Training for your next decade. Join us for a day-long workshop filled with yoga, journaling and group support to contemplate the changes and opportunities that are likely in your next decade

What will your life be like in 10 years? Aging is both a privilege and an inevitability, yet many of us either ignore or outright deny how our lifestyle, physical abilities and priorities will evolve in the years ahead.

This daylong workshop offers a refreshing and empowering alternative: a chance to intentionally plan for your next decade through the lens of mindfulness, movement, and yogic philosophy. We will explore what longevity means for you personally—the promises, the challenges, and the probabilities. Through guided practices, journaling, meditation, and discussion, you’ll create your own Mindful Longevity Plan—a roadmap for thriving as you age, rooted in self-awareness and intention.

Expect physical yoga sessions that focus on strength building, maintaining functional movement and nourishment of the nervous system, all factors that increase in importance as we age. Becca will also guide you through mindful journaling, meditations and discussions that will help you begin crafting a vision to support your intentions for your next decade.

Whether you’re nearing a milestone birthday or simply ready to embrace what’s next, this retreat invites you to begin training now for a strong, centered, and vibrant future. Accessible to all.

Participants should bring a yoga mat, blanket/beach towel and a journal. Wear comfortable clothes.

Meet Becca

Becca discovered a fascination with the human body’s physical structure and ability just after college when she became a fitness instructor. This fascination led her further to the study of Physical Therapy, which she has been practicing in Birmingham since 1999. Becca simultaneously discovered yoga which fulfilled her desire to tune in to her own body and mind and revealed to her a wealth of therapeutic benefits. Her Physical Therapy practice evolved to using more breath and body awareness, and therapeutic modifications of yoga poses, and she became a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She has developed and led numerous yoga and mindfulness workshops, professional trainings and retreats. Becca also works with clients one on one for individualized yoga instruction to address acute or chronic issues, learn modifications for safe entry into community classes, or develop a personal practice.
