Spiritual Direction for Youth Ministers with Beverly Hurley Hill
A space for those providing ministry with young people in the Diocese of Alabama to foster their connection with God and each other, plus expand their spiritual awareness and prayer life through shared experiences and meaningful conversation.
A year-long rhythm of group spiritual companionship for Alabama's youth ministers — monthly gatherings, in person at Threshold Center or by Zoom, that offer a steady container for prayer, presence, and practice amid the demands of ministry.
Through lectio and visio divina, examen, imaginative prayer, and honest story-sharing, participants are invited to notice God's presence in their own lives — not just the lives of the teens they serve — and to discover in one another a community of discernment, collaboration, and mutual support that sustains them for the long work of ministry.
Dates and Event details:
4th Thursday each month - Two Options for joining.
12pm - 1pm - In person at The Threshold Center or Online from 6pm- 7:30pm
Location: The beautiful and newly renovated Threshold Center at 3794 Crosshaven Drive, Vestavia Hills/ Cahaba Heights, AL 35223. Parking is free. Handicapped parking is available at the door.

Meet Beverly
Beverly enjoys creating space for people to process, reflect, and grow in spiritual connection with God, each other, and themselves. With nearly six years of offering spiritual companionship for individuals, she has recently returned to her love of working with groups. Her own spiritual journey is marked with numerous groups of spiritual friends that have transformed her own life of prayer and practice.
Beverly finds spiritual grounding in nature, which makes living at Camp McDowell in Nauvoo, AL all the richer in opportunity. She shares a home at camp and in Birmingham with her husband, Derrick, and cattle dog, Bleu.
